It’s hard to believe that it has been almost a month since my last post. Life has gone so quickly and it feels like we have not had much time to slow down.
Since our last post many things have happened.
My office moved locations across campus – this was my second move in 1 summer. I think moving our house was much less stressful! Right after we moved we then went to Orange Beach in Alabama. This trip was our anniversary, birthday, babymoon trip! It was great we spent lots of time doing nothing and laying on the beach – my favorite place to be. After we got back from the trip I had a week to get the office ready to go for students arriving the following Monday. In between our office had several events we were working on – some that were let’s just say unexpected. So 1 week after returning from our relaxing vacation I was ready for another one!
This past week students arrived on campus and things have been going non-stop!
We really enjoyed watching the Olympics while they were on- Everett kicked allot during all the swimming and soccer events. Adam thinks that means he’ll be the next Michael Phelps or on the American World Cup Soccer Team some day! Guess we’ll have to wait and see…
This weekend we made our checklist of things that need to happen before Everett comes – wowzers! it is quite a list. But we made some head way and hopefully we can get as much as we can checked off before November. Sometimes it just seems like it is an impossible hurdle to clear!
We start going to the doctor every 2 weeks now. So far everything looks good and on track. There are days my stomach just feels huge! I have noticed small changes in myself and somethings that are surprising. For instance getting up from sitting on the floor! My goodness – that is a simple thing but not anymore – and then i’ve notice I don’t walk nearly as fast as I used to. Then the latest thing is heartburn and acid reflux. These are things I have battled pre-pregnancy – but nothing like this. I’ve taken to carrying a bottle of Maloxx around with me and sleeping halfway sitting up. And in true 3 trimester fashion I am more tired. But other than that I feel great and still find myself amazed that before I know it Everett will be here in the flesh!
We have a few pictures from the beach I’ll post those soon.
